Discover the surprising contents of the Pocket Family’s pockets! Kazuko Matt, author and illustrator of The Wonderful Pocket Family will host a storytelling and crafting session inspired by her heartwarming picture book. Children will hear all about Kazuko Matt’s characters and the inspiration behind her story followed by a reading from the book. They will then become honorary members of the Pocket Family and have the chance to think about what they’d like to keep in their own pockets. Once they’ve decided they will decorate a printable pocket with their ideas, drawing or sticking their objects onto the pocket template. Will they choose a mysterious key like Little Pocket or a whistle like Sister Pocket or even a harmonica like Grandpa Pocket!?

Perfect for children of all ages. Sessions are designed to last approximately 20–25 minutes, with a little flexibility for children to finish their crafts.
