  • Build Your Own Beast, Illustrating and Storytelling for Table Top Role Playing Games with Dan Locke


    This playful drop-in, all ages and abilities workshop will engage participants in character design illustration through a series of tasks. Using elements of game play, creative writing and drawing each participant will design a unique Dungeons and Dragons style character sheet. This activity will be supported by Daniel Locke, an award wining graphic novelist and role playing game artist.

  • Good Vibes Patches with Stewart Easton


    Join Stewart Easton for relaxed patch-making workshop where we’ll use felt and hand stitching to create your own good-vibe wearable. Share a bit of your positivity and together we’ll create a wearable reminder to stay cosmic!

  • Make a 3D Paper Toadstool with Helen Ferry


    Join Paper Artist, Helen Ferry, in making a 3D Paper Toadstool. In this workshop, Helen will guide you through the 3D techniques of cutting your templates out of paper, scoring and folding lines into your shape and glueing it all together with a glue syringe. Whether you're a first timer or a pro in papercraft, this workshop is a chance to spend an afternoon making something with your hands, and by the end you'll have a fun, autumnal toadstool to take home with you.

  • Portfolio Reviews


    We’ll be hosting portfolio review sessions with a range of industry professionals - Murugiah, Lucy from Yuk Fun, Niamh from Flying Eye Books, Tom from Breakdown Press.

    This is a chance to share your work, get feedback, and make valuable connections. Whether you’re refining your portfolio or just starting out, it’s a great opportunity to gain insight, confidence and direction from those working in the field.

  • Blast Skates Mascot Doodle Workshop


    Join for a deck doodling workshop, getting creative with drawing to customise your very own Blast Skates mascot deck. At the end of the workshop you will take home your very own decorated Blast Skates mascot skateboard deck to hang on the wall, or even add hardware to skate if you want!

    Join author, illustrator and character designer, Dapo Adeola, for some Super Fun storytelling and illustration shenanigans with his brilliant new picture book “Super Goat Girl”.

  • Finding an Agent, and Beyond - behind the scenes on Graphic Novel publishing with Katie Blagden

    Literary Agent Katie Blagden reveals the dos and don'ts on finding the right agent for your Graphic Novel work, and walks us through the process of getting your graphic novel published. Katie is a literary agent with The Ampersand Agency, specialising in Graphic Novels for Children, Young Adults and Adults.

  • Making a Board Game (Fame and Fable) with Owen Davey


    Fame and Fable is a fantasy board game created by Owen Davey. It was funded on Kickstarter in 9 minutes at the beginning of 2025 and the project garnered the support of over 6000 backers. Owen shares his journey of designing and publishing a board game by himself, from inspiration to crowdfunding and beyond.

  • Colouring Outside the Lines with Tat Vision


    Join Tat Vision for a lively, unpredictable session blending art and lols. Part talk, part creative free-for-all, it offers a peek into Tat’s wonderfully chaotic world — from offbeat projects to spontaneous drawing - with plenty of chances to grab a pen and get involved.

    Join us for an in-conversation with illustrator Tara Booth. Lucy Sherston will delive into Tara’s creative journey, the influences that shape her work, and the bold, expressive style that’s made her a standout voice in contemporary illustration.

    Come and join Tat Vision touring charity shops in Brighton! Find some good bits of tat while adventuring through the streets of Brighton. He’s never been before so hopefully you don't get lost. Afterwards there will be a show and tell to see what bits and bobs you've found.

    Sasquatch? Mothman? The Loch Ness Monster? Nahhh — it’s time for some new cryptids for modern times. Join cutout artist Wyrdewoods for a playful, drop-in workshop where you’ll dream up, draw and build your own wonderfully weird creature to inhabit our urban woodland. From sentient fatbergs to foxmen of Portslade, anything goes — all ages and abilities welcome!

  • Button It! With Pippa Toole


    Pippa Toole will have you covered on Sunday afternoon! She’ll be bringing her badge maker and plenty of templates to get you started. Drawing materials will be provided, but if you fancy bringing your own bits to play with (magazine pages work especially well!), you’re more than welcome to.

  • Making a Minicomic with Gemma Correll


    Join Gemma Correll for a playful, hands-on workshop in making your own mini comic - from choosing a subject and creating a character to using humour, text and simple storytelling. You’ll finish by folding your very own one-page comic to take home.
